I was looking at the web site for Ultra Racing & I saw that they had both the front & rear lower braces on sale with free shipping! I was able to buy both of them for $338 total. That's $50 off the pair & no shipping which saves another $40-$50. Load up while the sale is on!
I had to select the product & the correct year & that is when I saw the sale price & free shipping. At that point you can add it to your cart. My Corolla is handling better all the time!

1. What's the difference between the upper and lower bars? The description is kinda vague.
2. What's involved in the install? looks like bolt-on for the upper, but installing thelower front or rear requires lift the car up. Is that correct assumption? Thanks.

I already installed the upper rear strut brace & that only took a few minutes. The lower front & rear brace that I just ordered would need you to get under the car. I'll just drive my Corolla up onto my ramps & that should give me enough room to install them. I've got the TRD upper front strut brace installed. All of them are supposed to be bolt on.

So what's the functional difference between the rear sway bar and the 2pt. lower rear bar? Is this bar used along with a sway bar, or used instead of?
Does your S already have a rear sway bar?
I'm wanting to get better/stiffer handling out of my LE, but not sure exactly what components to get.

The functional difference is that the RSB is used to decrease understeer & make the car handle in a more neutral manner. The lower body braces are designed to stiffen the chassis so that the entire suspension, ie springs & sway bars work better.
My S had a factory RSB & I have upgraded it with a TRD RSB. The UR RSB is designed to work WITH the factory or TRD bar to get the car closer to neutral handling as it mounts in a completely different place from the factory/TRD RSB. I have also installed a UR rear upper strut brace & a TRD front upper strut brace to help tighten up the struts. I've been asking the owner of UR a lot of questions!

So is anyone else going to take advantage of this great deal? I can't wait to get them installed. I hope I'm not the only one that will have an ultra tight Rolla!

i've got a few questions....just curious since these questions came to my head, and i am sure others are thinking the same,
1: i already have the trd fsb and rsb and i already notice the ride is a bit stiff, wont it make the ride even stiffer adding all these extra bars ? i am also going to do trd springs later. so i am a little concerned its going to get uncomfortable for daily driving. what are your observations ?
2: there are 4 bars for the back, 16mm, 19mm, 2pt rear and 2 pt rear lower....from my understanding i dont need the 19mm since i have the trd rsb in its place and i get the 2pt rear bar(the one u installed), so do i really need two extra sway bars underneath on top of these two ? which brings me back to my first point of a very stiff ride
3: overkill for a DD dont u think ? unless i plan on autocrossing it, would i really notice the difference in handling in DD with the 4-6 extra UR bars ?
thoughts/comments ?
EDIT::
i almost forgot to ask, is the shipping free to canada too ? i cant seem to enter my postal code to estimate shipping.

1. I didn't notice any stiffer ride when I installed the TRD bars but I did notice the difference when I was taking on ramps & off ramps & driving in the twisties. I also have the TRD springs which have a very nice ride but stiffen up when I'm driving faster through the curves.
2.It just depends on how neutral you want the car to handle. The most neutral combination will be the TRD RSB & the UR 19mm RSB. The Corolla is set up from the factory to understeer a lot when pushed as are most factory economy cars. Only the 16mm & 19mm bar are rear sway bars! The upper rear strut bar that I installed helps prevent the struts from flexing under a corning load so that the suspension works better and the body doesn't flex where the strut attaches. The 4th bar is a frame brace that helps stiffen the chassis where it flexes most during cornering loads. This will also help to keep the lower body from flexing. I don't believe any of these will make your DD too stiff, they will just allow the suspension to operate best as it's not fighting the flexing of the body.
3. I don't think it's overkill for a DD. I like driving through back roads & enjoying the curve of the road at a nice speed to feel the turn. I've always liked to make every one of my cars handle tight. The bottom line is it is your call but the frame & strut braces will not make your ride more harsh during DD but they will provide a more enjoyable experience when you hit any curves!
The maximum # of UR bars would be 4, one front & 3 rear. The lower front chassis brace, the lower rear chassis brace, the rear upper strut tower brace & one of the rear(16mm/19mm) sway bars.
I'm not sure about the shipping to Canada. I would contact them about that.
I hope that helps!
