I've got a 2009 S model and it has some pretty bad rattles coming from the headliner (especially over the backseat). I've seen many posts about headliner rattles and some people say they've been able to fix theirs, but there's not a lot of explanation given so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Double check to ensure where the noise is coming from. It very well may be c from a rattle at the back glass. There is a TSB for this and several have had it done on the forum here.

My headliner rattle was at the front. I wedged a piece of foam inside and the rattle disappeared.

Mine sounds like it's coming from above the back seat, so I don't think it's the window (although I'll double check next time I take it in for service).

How did you take the liner down to insert the foam to fix your rattle? And what kind of foam did you use?

Felt works good also I use it a lot, I know Honda has some wool felt type material with a sticky backing that they use I bet it comes on a roll ( I have only seen what they used on my A pillar) would like to find something similar.

There are manufacturing clips that hold the front & rear glass in place at the top while the adhesive dries. Sometimes these tin-metal clips (in front and rear) can rattle against the glass The rear one's can be popped off...but I don't recommend doing it yourself since the headlinder can be easily damaged/bent.

Tell the dealer your woes - they should be able to help you out!

Thanks for that info! I definitely don't want to mess anything up, so I'll just ask the dealer next time I take it in. I'm glad I know specifically what to ask about now.
