My 2009 Corolla, which is a Japanese model based on the vin number, yet its still on the recall list why? I thought that the Japanese models were not effected by this recall.
Well I had a great deal, on another vehicle but was turned down because my car was on the list WTF?!? Now I am stuck with this defected piece of
Can I just take that thing back and refuse to make any more payments? Are they accepting cars back?
Yours is affected by the floor mat recall, but not by the pedal recall.
I don't understand how anyone can turn down a vehicle for trade in, because there was a recall on it? A recall means they will be fixing issues, not that all the cars are suddenly worthless, lol.

They said that if they were to take it, it would just sit there. I was a bit surprised my self, I kept arguing with them saying that mine is a Japanese model. All they can say is that everyone is spooked about this, that I should just wait out. Seriously, I been wanting to trade this in before any of this, and now it was the time to do so, just bad timing for me. I did not get this car to be buried with it. I know if I just let them repo it, its gonna sell for nothing at the auction I am gonna own at lest $6000 to $7000
Why dont you just enjoy the car as it is. Like i have said before, this recall is way over hyped because of the media getting in on it. We are a Toyota Forum with alot of people and so far I dont believe anyone has had a problem with this SUA or a major problem with the floor mat. If you "give" the car back, you will be stuck paying alot of money for something you dont even own anymore so just hang on to it. And if for some reason you are one of the cars affected, be sure you know what to do if the situation comes up.
Things to know
1.- No reports on this happening on car with less then 35,000 miles (unless new info has changed this)
2.- The Japanese version seems to not have the faulty pedal (which they prolly just want to confirm)
3.- They are fixing the problem so that the car is safe as it should be.
Many people have told me, "Hahaha you bought a peice of s*** car with a major problem" not understanding anything someone could take this and go overboard with it.

That's not the case here, I could give a shit about the recall. I just cant sell the damn thing, cause of what you described. I just hate the fact that I wanted to get rid of it a while ago, and could not due to this stupid recall.

Yea... it's just unfortunate for people who have been wanting to sell the car even before all of these recall hypes. Even if you were able to sell, the value of the car has dropped significantly... and I think you should reconsider that for purely financial reasons. Do some research and find out what's better for you financially. PERSONALLY, even if I hate the car, I would hang on to it for a couple years before selling it. You are stuck in a shit hole. If you can tough it out, it will pay off. Maximize your enjoyment with what you have. It will save you money.
I really wish you good luck! I hope you will have better luck with another car (BTW, what car were you thinking of buying?)
