New Car Purchases ?

Hello,

Are dealers "allowed" to sell brand new cars now, assuming they do the fixes, or are they still formally obligated by Toyota to do repairs on already-sold units first, and no new car sales (yet) ?

They will undoubtedly have to offer very meaningful rebates and incentives, I would imagine, to get folks back into showrooms.

Any idea if and when something like this will happen ?

If I buy a new car now, is it reasonable to have something in writing that I will receive any new rebates/incentives issued over the next ??? months even though car was purchased prior to their issuing ?

How would you word it ?

Already happening.
My friend deposited for a new Matrix before the halt-sale and is waiting for the delivery because his choice was not available at that time.
Now he is offered an royal customer incentive of CAD 1000 because the delivery is delayed due to halt-sale.

I think as long as they have the kits in stock they can repair and sell the cars now. (thats what the dealership told me)

As for incentives it is still the 2.9% or $750 back as far as I know.

The quote I got on a 2010 S nicely loaded (no roof) was $17,300 + tx ttl & fees.

Have not seen any door buster sales as of yet.

I believe they can sell the cars and if they do they should make the fixes right away for delivery.

I ordered my xrs fully loaded, leather seats, sun roof, navi about 3 weeks ago and still nothing. I am in FL. My dealer cant even give me a production date yet. Rediculous. I am going to have to call him and have a talk. and I did have to give 1000 down to order it. also 0.9% for 5 years
