Blu Logic Hands Free system?

This is a factory system available through the dealer. Does anyone have it installed? Im wondering how it works. Is it like bluetooth or what? Im about to pick up my new 2010 Corolla S and was wondering if its worth it. Thanks

It's a ripoff. Most manufacturer accesories are low convience and high cost. See if they offer any aftermarket accessories

Actually, I have the Blu Logic system installed in my car.

If you want it though, I'd order it through TRD sparks and install it yourself. It was actually the first thing I did to my car, and wasn't hard at all.

The only thing I didn't like about it was that it didn't have the steering wheel controls like I thought it would, instead it goes in one of the push-outs on the dashboard, so if your car doesn't come with the heated seats it's actually the perfect thing to install, as it gets rid of the ugly square-thingy (aka the push-out) at the bottom of your dash. (Look on the right side, opposite of the AUX input.)

All in all, I'd say it's worth it. The sound quality is excellent, I've only heard good reviews about it from the people I'm talking with... in fact, so far no one's even been able to tell that I was using the system until I asked them how it sounded. (They said great, btw.)

On top of that... if your phone supports it then you can actually stream full-quality stereo audio to your car's sound system right through your phone. (Great for YouTube videos on the run.) =P

Here's a link... is it still a bit expensive? Yes, but it's probably a hell of a lot less than your dealer's going to ask. (BTW: My car's been serviced 3 times since I installed this, haven't heard a thing about it yet. Well, other than a compliment on my wiring from a tech, but that's a different story. - In other words, don't worry too much about warranty issues with it.)

--EDIT--
Oh yes, forgot to mention... it apparently interferes with the JBL sound system, and also the XM/Sirius satellite radio. If the satellite radio is a necessity for you, though, there are always other options. Here's a picture showing my bluetooth system (the same Blu Logic kit your dealer uses,) as well as my hard-wired SIRIUS radio in the compartment below. As you can see, it matches perfectly and simply uses the vehicle's AUX jack for sound input. The best part about it is that you can simply close the compartment and it's hidden away out of sight when you need it to be.

(Sorry for bad quality... I promise I'll buy a real camera soon!)

Once it's not the JBL satellite, it will work with the OEM XM or Sirius option (separate OEM satellite receiver). You just have to plug the CD port plug from the Blu Logic first into the head-unit followed by the satellite plug. I have it installed in both my 09 Corolla and 05 Highlander.

You can also get hands-free blue tooth phone operation through some of the upper models of dash-top GPS navigation units.

Came on my Corolla and figured it would be cool considering I drive a lot in a "hands free" state. It works and was easy to set up but I've had some complaints from people I was talking with that they couldn't hear me. Not sure if it's the hands free or reception problem though. Still trying it out.

There are apparently two different models from what I've seen... if you have the steering wheel controls it's a different system than the add-on Blu Logic.

At least that's what I can tell from Toyota's Bluetooth guide off their website, because mine certainly doesn't work that way.

IMHO I would jump on the factory kit with steering wheel controls. I have had aftermarket bluetooth on nearly every vehicle I have owned since it has been available and the people I talk to always know that I am using handsfree based on the call quality. I do not have that issue on my 2010 Corolla S, it is just as clear as if I am using my phone even with the sunroof open.
