low beams when unlocking/locking the car

How do you disable that? Does it automatically stop doing that after you disable DRL's and enable independent fogs? Or is there another wire that we need to cut and/or ground? - I'm worried about my HID's .

yes yes I know, get a proper retrofit, but I actually test drove w/ 35w 5000k's and not a single flash and tried every road type that this city has to provide. I stepped waaaay back from my car w/ the lows on and it didn't even look too bad. It looked similar to the Acura TL's with the xenons in it. And there's way too many lifted trucks running 55w sets that are 6000k and over that are worse than 35w 5000k whites on a car that's pretty low in comparison to SUV/trucks

For example when you lock your car, the headlights come on for a minute or so and then turn off and vice versa, how do you disable that?

really?
mine doesn't do that at all...

is this happening while your car is running or off?

lets say you just left your house and heading to your car to start it up:
- you press the unlock button
- your headlights turn on for a bit
- your headlights turn off
is this correct?

cuz ive personally never seen this.... on any car

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think bazzle91 has the premium security upgrade alarm system. When I was test driving rolla's before I bought mine, I test drove one with the premium security system and it did that. My S doesn't have that system, so it doesn't do it.

Yeah you're right, that's exactly what happens! haha

And magrolla you're right too. I do have the security system.

Next to my mirror adjustment buttons there's a red button that says "security" and it can be pushed in or left out, but I've tried in the past to just toy w/ it and test it, and I don't think pushing that button does a damn thing haha.

yeah the security system makes them do that. Idk if you can disable that. _revok's rolla does that too. so did my sisters 8th gen w/the alarm. never really bothered me; on my sisters old rolla, you could open the door when the alarm was still engaged and obviously the alarm would go off and then she could push the button/light in and then the alarm would turn off!!! lol so easy to steal back then, there was the plastic key thing you would take to the dealer to make a copy of the key and back then of course they didnt have chips in the key so you can see how easy it is for a thief to steal her car.

No need to worry about your HIDs from that.

Ahh okay. I thought it was bad for HID's to turn on/off for short periods of time?

Thanks everyone for your responses btw.

Nope, only as bad as turning a regular halogen bulb on and off for short periods of time, not any worse than that.
