UK Drivers Side Window Switch Falling Through

Long time lurker, first time posting. Figured I'd post this since I haven't seen it and was wondering if anyone else had experienced it.

My window/lock switch on the drivers side has fallen into the door. I popped the plastic cover off and it appears that there are little plastic clips that hold the switch assembly in place that have broken, causing the switch assembly to fall into the door.

Do you think that I should try to bring it in to the dealer and see if they will cover it? I already have it going in on Friday to get the aux input switch fixed. If they say no, is there somewhere to purchase a new switch cover (the switch itself works fine, the cover where your arm sits on the door is where the clips appear to have broken).

If its warrantied take it to the dealer or, if you are comfortable with it, pop the door off and reseat the window controls

i assume it is some loose screws. i agree with mmasse, if they cover it, let them fix it. if not, just pop it off and push it up/screw it tighter yourself

its good if screws were used. if clips were used then you are out of luck in repairing them by yourself. either the dealer sells you clips or u let them fix it. if u are really a macgyver type you can be resourceful enuf to fix it yourself.

If your Corolla is of 2010, then it is still under warranty. So take it back to the dealer for free fixing.

I would swing by the dealer on Monday just in case they have to order the clips. If they do than they may have them by Friday & be able to do everything at once for you.

Dealer should cover it. As long as you haven't exceeded your warranty mileage..... I also agree with the dropping by monday JUST IN CASE they have to order the part to fix it...
