If anyone has a 10th gen service manual or knows for SURE!
Is the shifter connected to the trans with mechanical linkage or is it electronic.
Someone mentioned this to me and I am trying to find out.
If it is and then it is possible that under SUA if the cars shifter is placed in neutral it may not respond.
I'm pretty sure the corolla is only drive-by-wire throttle and the EPS. I have an 09 S automatic, and it would be news to me if the shifter was electronic...
Congress doesn't want the truth, as this journalist pointed out!

I dunno where this lady got this from. I took my car out just to test this and at 55, putting it into neutral, I then gave it gas, and it revved up and clearly let me know it was in neutral. I just think this is another bash to get at toyota. Possibly even a story to try and make some money. I'm gonna ask a tech at my job tomorrow what it is for sure. I'll be sure to let y'all know.
im always dropping it into neutral on long down hills and such, and sometimes i forget it in neutral, and go to hit the gas and go no where, cause im in neutral. i would think its a wire

lol i dont do it often, just on those long hills, for example there is this hill near where i live, at 30MPH it takes a good two minutes to get down it cause of all the curves, just easier to let the car roll rather than gas it
