corolla 2009 1.8L overheated

i was happily driving my corolla crossing the border from mexicali to calexico,ca
when suddenly i see that my temperature gauge is nearly hitting H, the first thing i saw was that it hasnt water in the radiator, so i grabbed some water and added it.

After some time i saw a huge badass leakage from the radiator, so much for 30000 mile service 3 weeks ago, and i had to keep pressing the acelerator throttle to make it lower the temperature gauge, sure hope i didnt fck'd up the engine, now toyota as an average class car maker, 30231 Miles, rattles in the backseat, cheap plastics in the interior, had some noise coming from my left disc brake, dealer fixed it(was something loose with the brakes), one liter of oil dissapears out of thin air in the summer (already saw recall for that too), pedal recall................ so much for japanese quality

So where was the leak & was it caused by something hitting the radiator? There are plenty of people that have more miles than you with no issues to speak of.

Did you check your coolant level before your road trip? especially for long road trip, I usually check everything before I hit the road like coolant, engine oil and tire pressure!

it was full on coolant 3 weeks ago, maybe i just had luck with having a faulty radiator, the hole was at the bottom, the dealer told me a rock could have made it

Good call with using water when you were in a bind. water > radiator fluid for heat transfer, but it does not help with corrosion. Shot term use is okay, though.

I would say it isn't "included' if the damage is accidental...

that isn't "included" in any warranty since damage was not manufacturer defect.
