Rota DPT vs Enkei

With summer comming up I'm lookin to invest in some new wheels. I have two that I have contemplating. I have been look at ROTA DPT(same as torres) in silver in a 17x9 42mm offset and Enkei RPF1 in a 17x8 or 8.5. Either one in silver. With the ROTAs I can get them from wheel dude for about $850 shipped and the enkeis are about $1000 shipped. The Rotas are under 19lbs a wheel and the enkeis are under 16lbs. I just dont know if the enkeis justify the $150, especially without the 9" width. Opinions? Please don't turn this into a ROTA quality/replica vs Volk mess.

I'd get the Enkeis since they're a great lightweight wheel from a reputable brand.

Rota... not so much, unless you want the flush fitment.

I've found RPF1s for close to that Rota price, so you should keep shopping around until you find the right price. If you need help, just let me know!

The flushness of those wheels is amazing, but I prefer a more JDM look which the enkeis provide. If I could find those wheels for around $850 that would be outstanding. I don't think I would SLAM it enough for flush.

Shop around on the RPF1s! I got my 17x8 RPF1 shipped for a bit under $900.

Most places have a 1 month or so wait on them right now though.

I would get the Enkei too. I bought my PF01's for $848. They are lighter & from a better brand. The Enkei can also be had in a +35mm offset so the wheel can be a bit narrower & still look similar.

I don't have any good photos of that yet, as I still need to drop it next weekend. S/CMR2 has a few good offset pics (different wheel, exact same size specs) in the rims thread.

Personally, I don't think you are going to see much of a difference in 8" +35 or 9" +42. Both are going to give you a "the way it should have came from the factory" look; both being nowhere near the "hellaflush" category.

Exactly the point I was making, the added benefit is that the tire size needed for the Corolla will fit properly on the 8" wheel. A 9-9.5" wheel is too wide for a 225 tire to fit on correctly.

I will probably go for the enkeis because of practicality and quality, plus the "dumped" look really aint me. But Torres when you get those 18x10's I will drool over the flushness. . I'm presuming your gettin them from wheeldude

The PF01's come with center caps, that was another consideration for me when I decided to get them over the RPF1. I hate the look without the center cap, it just looks unfinished to me. I bought my wheels from America's Tire Company, also know as Discount Tire in other areas.

I just found out we get a wholesale discount from Tirerack.com
Saves me $22 a wheel, makes it $844 for the wheels.
