Question Bluetooth question ?

Help me understand this - If my 2010 Corolla S came from the factory with Bluetooth then the controls would be on the steering wheel - but if I buy the toyota kit p/n PT923-00097 BLU Logic Hands Free System then the controls are in the dash ??

How can I a factory kit with steering wheel controls. ??

I have the BT in the steering wheel but the only way it comes that way is with the JBL option, that's one of the reasons I liked the JBL upgrade, & the fact that it sounded so much better than the other stereo units!

Same with my JBL system. And the Bluetooth is crystal clear. Not sure the steering wheel controls will work on the non JBL units

To have the controls on the steering wheel........... you would require - steering wheel switch, possible spiral cable, harness to head-unit, JBL head-unit, harness from head-unit to external amplifier, amplifier....etc. As you can see, if it didn't come with the vehicle then the cost to implement it would be horrendous.

I have the 2010 Camry Hybrid with the JBL system. Bluetooth is the off-hook button on the steering wheel. I was able to download my phone's (LG 8350 on Verizon) entire address book into the JBL and have set up six presets with my more commonly called numbers. There are a total of 18 presets available - six each on Speed Dial 1, 2 and 3.

Interestingly, the 2007 Camry Hybrid I traded in came with the premium sound (JBL system) as standard. Now, you have to get an upgrade package to get this. Many of the standard features of the '07 TCH are now options.
