Ok so I am trying to understand why my car only has a break squeal when I am breaking at 40-45.It doesn't do it any other time and is only doing it on the passenger side front or back cant tell.

I think have a similar squeal. It sounds like it's coming from the rear driver side on my car, but not sure. I hear it occasionally, but it's hard to replicate over and over again. I wonder if we need the brake TSB done?

Have you taken off the wheels and inspected the brakes? I'll be taking mine off in a few weeks for tire rotation

Has anyone else experienced this besides us?

I have narrowed it down to 30-40 mph and u have to break lightly to make this happen. I took it in a few months back they said the resurfaced the drums but I dont think they replaced they shoes like they should have. Anyways Has anyone else had this issue on the rear brakes?

I don't notice this much anymore. But I think it's coming from the rear drum brakes. My guess is the shoes do not have enough grease between the backplate.

To answer your yes I too am getting that same exact noise as we speak..lol

About a month ago i went to Toyota service and had them replicate the noise..and they said they couldn't find nothing..i even had the tech drive next to me..and nothing..took the car home..it squeaked made a noise..

I'm due for my 5000k oil change and I will bring it to their attention. On my previous car it made the same noise..and apparently my brake pads were worn out and my rotors needed to be cleaned.

its just super annoying. rear brake shoes are suppose to be good for at least 100k with no issues and at 25k i am having issues which will be addressed. I will take it to them and it will be fixed.

In a simple answer...... no, no brake issues at all after 19k miles.

ive had brake noise when i brake lightly, ive also checked with my friend with a 2010 S and she has it too but most people just dont notice it. we have less than 10k on our cars...im not really complaining since it only happens when i apply very lightly. Ive brought it in during my 5k oil change and they couldnt replicate. goodluck on solving this issue and maybe ill bring mine in if you fix yours.

Dont wry I got it narrowed down to where I can mimic it about 85% of the time now. What u need to do is lightly press the brake pedal and gradually increase it slowly. I have had alot of time to mess with this. I also notice right as you lightly press it there is a small click not a noise click but a feel click its very hard to tell though. if you ask me this is a problem in the brakes with the car and it will be fixed weather they want to or not even if it means replacing the whole rear brake system. U basically need to ride on the brake to make this work.
