Sound deadening

Hey guys, I just feel toyotas makes cars un-sound proofing for exterior mainly.

Corollas are just so loud, everything is pretty light. The sound proof is horrible so
I'm thinking about buying dynomats or something close to it and apply on doors truck and whatever i can further think of to reduce sound when driving higher speeds.

What do you guys think? i know they mainly use these for people with subs but this can also reduce noises virbrations and other noises.

I would like my car to be quiter. Good idea?

I think the Corolla is very quiet. I did post some pictures of the Dynomat that I did in my trunk. Just do a search for "Dynomat" & you will see what I've done. I have enough to do the door too but I haven't done it yet.

This isnt my car, but this is an example of what can be done with a Corolla on another website I frequent. Good luck with your deadening, it is addicting!

Second skin has good products as well and they are a little bit more reasonable price wise

Don't buy the cheap stuff out there on ebay. Your car will smell like a State Asphalt project.

There are lots of different products you can use and they all have their ups and downs. Dynamat and second skin both have full lines of different sound deadening products. I've used Great Stuff (sp?) expanding foam to stop rattles in hard to reach areas, although it can be a bit messy if you underestimate it's expansiveness. There are also rubberized coatings that you can get at autoparts stores, though sometimes not expressly intended for sound deadening, which can really help to reduce road noise when applied in wheel wells and other places. I've also heard of different types of duct insulation having good sound deadening qualities and it's also very easy to line doors and other large panels with. Those are just some basic ones you can start with.
