First tank 34mpg good or bad?

50/50 split driving averaged 34mpg on my calculation and 35.5 on the computer read out. Is this the norm for the first tank. Can I achieve 40mpg avg. So far the car is all stock besides tint, hids, led tails.
Next move was a drop in KN and maybe a catback exhaust and some tein springs.

Your beating the EPA estimated average, so yeah you're doing fine.

In my experience I can snail around and get 38mpg max.

Or drive it like I stole it and get 32mpg.

I tend to go for the middle.

I have averaged 32mpg and drive almost all around town driving. About 3500 miles on it now. Highest is 38mpg, lowest is 30mpg.

I've not had a tank below 30 mpg even when I've been driving hard & fast with my car club. I will say though that at 80-90 mph I was getting around 30 mpg.

my XRS auto is pegged at 32mpg, cannot get any higher (have not tried). 99% hwy driving at 75-80mph. i found a few tenths by up'ing the tire pressure to 38-40 psi and using 0w20 oil. now i am back to 5w20 oil and still see 32mpg. engine is 113 days old with ~15800 miles on it (3 oil fills, oem to ~2500 miles, mobil1 0w20 to 9500 miles, valvoline 5w20 to present).

also keep in mind weather and oxygenated fuel changes mpg's slightly.

My XRS has averaged 8.8954 L/100Km since I bought the car about 2 years ago.
(Manually Calculated, based on about 90% of all tank fill ups. I forgot to write down numbers on a few tanks here and there)

with a 50/50 drive

so like 26-27MPG...
