Question '09 General Questions/ 1/4 Time

Hey everyone, just recently got a slightly used 09 S, runs great, only 14k miles so I am looking for someone to help me with a few questions. Only downside is Automatic .

-What is the average mpg everyone seems to be getting? I'm at 33 right now but haven't had the car that long.

-Fast Friday is tomorrow at Texas Motorplex, open track, so does anyone have a general 1/4 mile time, 1/8 mile time?

-What type of oil is everyone using, brand?

-Unleaded or Premium? Anyone even notice a difference with premium?

-Any small DIY mods that everyone seems to like?

-Any general advice at all?

Most people with the 1.8L get between 30-35 mpg.

-Fast Friday is tomorrow at Texas Motorplex, open track, so does anyone have a general 1/4 mile time, 1/8 mile time?

Not sure, but you can tell us soon.

-What type of oil is everyone using, brand?

All types, check the current oil thread.

-Unleaded or Premium? Anyone even notice a difference with premium?

Regular, premium is a waste for the Corolla unless you use forced induction.

-Any small DIY mods that everyone seems to like?

Do a search, there are a lot of different things & more coming.

-Any general advice at all?

Just start looking at the threads & you will learn a lot. And to TN.

I'm averaging 32mpg. I drive pretty consistently, I keep track of all my miles (see link). I also just installed a K&N filter, so I'll see if my mpg improves.

Driving in the Bay Area also, but travel between Fremont and Santa Clara. I hate driving in SF.

back to topic about the 1/4 miles time:

Here is the dynolicious run we did a while back using the dynolicious app. You can have a rough results of what the XRS and S run in a 1/4 miles drag.

dynolicious runs: XRS and S with weapon-r/magnaflow

The 1/4 mile time of an automatic S should roughly take......

forever.

Seriously, my advice is to use regular gas.

Premium will do nothing but lighten your wallet.

For DIY mods, read the DIY thread I compiled at the top of the forum. It contains all the tips and knowledge you'll need to know.
