Help with MEGAN COILOVER?

Hey Guys,

I have installed my Megan full coilover, But the guy at the shop moved the upper nuts lock were the springs sits, and the installation manual spesify to not to moved it. I want to set it back to the factory settings. Can some that have one megan coilover give the meters of the factory settings. So that way I can set it back to were it was.

thanks!

do you have the megan racing street series coilovers? and also can you post some pictures of what you are talking about. there arent many people that actually have the coilovers. i think there is only one other besides me. so it would be great if you had some pictures so i could help you.

so you want to set it back to factory spring setting? i dont really think it matters if the spring is more or less compressed. because for my car. if i remember correctly, for the bottom there are 2 red rings and 1 black one. the top red ring is to control the spring compression as well as the height of the car. and the bottom red and black ring is to just lock it in place. i have moved the top ring couple times to adjust the height of my car so that shouldnt be much of a problem for you. but for the top one im not to sure. i think that just compresses the spring like the bottom one does. i dont think i can get you those measurements because i would need to remove them from my car. you might need to double check and ask megan if its ok to move that top ring.

thanks, men

In my manual says that the black ring is the only tha you should move in order to change the height of the ride. and the two orders red rings the one for compress the spring and the one for lock it. you sould not move if necessary.

but the one tha he moved was the one tha compres the sping so, the spring came lose and down and lost the megan factory compresion. but what I did was compress the sping right back were it think it was. but if you say that you have moved the spring compressor ring without have any issue maybe it was to paranoiac.

but, thanks bro for your help..

i went to lower with mine so i had no choice but to move the bottom red ring and raise it up so i could make my car sit lower. there was no difference in the ride quality so i think you should be fine even if it was moved.

how low are you going with yours? i have about a finger gap all around.

i used to have mine set to 32 back when i first got it cause thats how i got it. let it run for about 500 - 1000 miles to break it in before you start adjusting the dampening. now i have set about 25 in the front and 22 in the rear. you wont feel the bump as much but you do lose out on how quickly your car turns.

That's good but you feel every single bump on the road. What's the springs that your coils came with?

Hey guys with the megan coilovers

Seriously considering going your route for suspension and not playing around with lowering springs like everybody else in the forums

In your opinion is it worth the 1000 dollars, and how much more enjoyment are you getting out of your rolla?
