Checked my fuel consumption and I managed 7.3 litres per 100km so I am very pleased.

they tried to a while back, they even put up several signs that gave speed limits in km/hr, but no one liked it and we are too stubborn to switch

I am averaging 31.8 over 5k so far on my 2010 S, we have averaged 35.6 over almost 100k on our 2006 S. The 2010 is about 75% city, the 2006 is 60% highway.

Check out this free Windows (and Linux, Unix) Metric-English conversion software. It is a desktop utility which is really handy and my recommendation is that everone should download it.

If you really like it, you may want to send the author a couple of bucks to say thanks.

OP: did you manually calculate it, or use the car's dash?
it will get better as you break in...
I can only imagine how good the new 1.8L does.
Our '06 Matrix gets about 6.6 - 7.0 L/100Km doing 70-80% Hwy
