Reset ECU

Doin some research and now think It would be a good idea to reset my ECU after doing the intake and exhaust.
Has anybody done this? And what is the process. I know come cars you just unhook the battery for a while then reconnect everything.

Also on the ECU subject... has anybody put in performance computers or chips the werent scams like ive been seeing everywhere?
What how noticeable was the difference and how much did it cost?

I'm pretty certain that is how you do it on the Corolla too, just unhook the battery & hook back up after 10-15 minutes.

Thats what I though. But would It be a good idea to reset it because of the exhaust? Im sure it couldnt hurt so why not.
