USA My 09 Corolla S @ 2 years and 75,000 miles

Avg. MPG (US Gallons) - 40
Down from 42 when new

Lowest MPG - 27
Highest MPG - 46

Oil filter changes every 5000 miles.

K&N air filter.
New speakers right after I bought it.
New tires at 75,000. Tires still had tread left, but a belt broke on one of the them.

Have had no problems with the car at all. Still runs and sounds like it is brand new.

wow, awesome numbers. Just over 1 month into ownership (09 Corolla LE) and my avg is 34.4 MPG. Do you just go 60 everywhere or did you do something to help bump it up? I want to change my exhaust, should help with some MPG increase

I don't remember. It was a brand that I never heard of though.

I commute 90 miles (one way) to work each day. About 98% is all freeway and I use cruise control all the time. I drive 60-65 MPH.

The K&N filter added 3 MPG but only for a short time. Definite performance improvement.

The biggest boost in mileage came from adding 10 extra pounds of air pressure to the tires. Didn't see any abnormal wear on the tires. Ride was a little rougher.

very interesting... I will definitely have to contemplate adding the extra air!!
I drive 45miles 99.5% highway one way to the office, literally only 1 mile is not highway... this would be ideal, might need to get me the K&N filter!

I honestly haven't noticed any significant MPG gain from K&N Filter. I'm still waiting to get a larger data pool before I make a post. The acceleration response is definitely there though.

i bumped the tires to 40psi. i use wix air oil filers, synpower 5w/20 every 10k miles
32 mpg 75-80 mph
the engine is good, tires are good.

i have a coolant leak somewhere. overflow is slowly going down, and i smell coolant up front after every drive, but i cannot see any coolant anywhere...... its under warranty so i just havent had the desire to go searching for the cause......
