Remembering why I bought the rolla!

I've been watching the news on this oil spill on the Gulf. It is unbelievable to think that it's happening and getting worse as I type this. I heard a trend analyst on one of the business channels talking about a return to the $100 per barrel oil or worse depending how this thing plays out.

The $145 per barrel price back on July of 08 was the reason why I got the rolla. We had a luxury European P.O.S. that only took premium gas. I hated the car because it was near impossible to work on. It was more computer then engine under the hood. Anyway, I remember the sense of satisfaction I got when I sat in the Corolla XRS and found that it had plenty of punch and took REGULAR gas. I'm averaging 33 MPG (calculated by math not the dash computer).

Anyway I was curious what brought the rest of you to purchase these spanky new rollas?

Coz its dependable, solid as a rock, amazing fuel consumption, spacious interior, and the 10th gen corolla is just sexy. Love the S and XRS style and the super white color. It's a balance of comfort, reliability and a dash of sporty looks, especially now that I started to mod it

Remember one time a friend was like "atleast I don't drive a Corolla", I showed him my Corolla, and he said we should have a photoshoot.

Yes, I drive a Corolla.

The outlook of the car to be honest with you! It is way better than the last gen, too bad the engine wasn't! I wish we can have the 2zz on the 10th gen!

Yes, I drive a Corolla.
+1

I've also owned several Corollas over the years & I've always had a great experience owning them. This 10th Gen is also beautifully styled & has a nice sporty stance to it now that I've lowered it. Fun to drive with zero problems, the Corolla legend lives on!

Looking good!

Do you not have to have a front license plate? If not, lucky you.

No front plates in SC and 27% is the legal tint limit. SC FTW.

Fogs are factory. Just added LEDS around them. (They same strips I used for over the over the headlight LEDs).

During installation I guess I bent too much and messed up the circuit and shorted the last 3 on one side. So I took a razor and put a cut into the circuit board on the other side to even them out.
