Canada High rev in 2010 Corolla

Got a 2010 CE in December when I thought the deals were at their peak.. Anyway, it has a little over 9000 KMs (crazy metric I know) on it now. One thing I notice is that it revs high when going around 60-70 kmh. It almost seems like it's just in between gears or something but it can last a while. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this..

What does the tach say at 70 kph? I know in mine at around 42 mph (same speed) its 1800 rpm's in 4th gear. Are you sure you have the gear shifter in D and not in 3?

It is around 2800 RPM which isn't outrageous I suppose, it just seems to take a long time to shift. I do not have it in 3rd although I have heard of people doing that.

2800 RPMs at 70kph? That's not right, take it to a dealer.

What has your gas mileage been like? Seems it would be lower. I get about 31 (manually calculated) with lots of short trips.
