Maintenance service?

Hey guys. I get my oil change every 5000-6000km and the tires rotated every other time. I don't want to get the 32000km maintenance and brake service done until close to the mileage and 24 month period. Question is will they charge me the same for this service if the tires don't need rotating? Tire rotation is part of the package and it won't need it then. Same with the brake service part of it. The wheels won't be off so will they charge more for the brake service? I'm only at 23000km and would like to wait for this service until next time. Thanks.

Correct me guys if I'm wrong but I think the tire rotation and brake checking is like a free service when you have them do the regular service maintenance for your car. Because from what I saw here in my local Toyota Dealer, they charge $50 for oil change, oil filter, air filter, engine fluid (brake, windshield washer, power steering fluid, and ATF) check and replenishment, tire rotation and brake checking. But I'm not sure if you can cut like $10 or something if you don't want them to do that for you.

I suspect there wouldn't be a cut ... not from my dealer, that's for certain.

My dealer hasn't charged me anything for a 12,24 or 36K inspection.

I learned a long time ago that the way to make tires last on a FWD car is to rotate them every 5K.

That's just my opinion and it is worth every cent you paid for it.

I think it is on the computer file to not track me down in the customer lounge every time I have an oil change and show me that my air filter and cabin filter need changed. They quit doing it after the first time they showed it to me and I went with them to the Service Managers desk and asked if people really believed that what they were showing was a dirty air filter.

my dealer charges about 35 bucks to do an oil change w/ rotation and inspection(includes checking and topping off all fluids). the rotation and inspection is "free" with an oil change, so they charge the same price no matter what.

In my area, dealers have a separate "oil and filter" maintenance and a "regular maintenance," which includes the tire rotation. Both come with checking/topping off fluid.

Regular ~ $50
oil + filter only ~ $30

(Just FYI, I just got a coupon in the mail from my dealer for an oil+filter change for $8.95.... expires 5/31)

Hanlee's Toyota in Davis. If you print out the coupon and show it to your dealer, they may match the deal. Linky here. Goodluck!
