i say rolla sometimes but mostly i say corolla. i think i only say rolla to friends and fellow corolla owners. but i dont say rents...that just sounds weird.
I only use 'Rolla on the web as otherwise people around here think I am speaking about Rolla, Missouri (pronounced Ral-a) which is quite confusing. But to answer your question, no. I never say 'rents.
I have friends that pay Rents, but that's the closest I get.

No i just say that to people i know and this forum. Does that make me ignorant or ghetto? If people ask me what car i drive i say corolla not rolla. And no i don't say rents.

Nobody's immune to this travesty. Try struggling thru an engineering magazine and you will discover that engineers are always inventing acronyms. You'd think they EXPLAIN what this acronym meant at least once in the article, but they don't. They're like little boys who want to have something all their own that nobody else knows about. Also it contributes to job security.
Kids invent slang to confuse their elders and 'have something only they know about' all the time. It often enters the dictionary after a while.
Talking heads on tv are CRAZY about inventing words AND definitions. I think THEY should be publicly hung for it.
