Hey there, my first post here. I went and looked at a 2009 Corolla S and plan on picking it up soon. One thing wrong with it, is the rims don't match. I managed to get them to knock off $500 for that. It was in an accident with the past owner, but the dealership didn't know what. Anyways, it drives flawlessly, body looks great, frame, all that, great condition.
The front rims are the stock Toyota rims, and the back rims are different (I believe they said Eagle on them?). I like the stock rims more than the back ones, but also wouldn't mind picking up a set of rims if I need to.
My question is, if I wanted to get 2 more of the stock Toyota rims, how would I go about doing so? Are they over priced compared to getting a set of 4 after market rims? It's my first car so any advice helps! Thanks.

to TN.
I would make sure you knew exactly what happened to the car & what was fixed. Does it have a clean title? You could find stock wheels easily, I have 4 perfect ones in my garage that are not being used!

Thanks for the welcomes! I plan on being around here a lot!
I will check with them again to get them to work on finding more about the history of the car. It was a trade in at a Kia dealership, and all they had for me was the Car Proof which says there is a $6000 claim on it, and because of that, the price is rather decent.
About the rims, I guess it makes perfect sense to get them from someone on here! How did I not think of that :p
I personally have no problem buying a wrecked car. NEED to find out if it is a salvage title or not, if it is, knock a LOT off the price. I fix cars from salvage all the time, Father-in-law and I are working on our 5th Dodge Stratus right now and just got it back from the frame shop to straighten it out. Just make sure quality work was done. I would Def. need to replace those wheels ASAP, that would drive me batty having two different sets. I would have them agree to put them on for you, so you dont have to pay someone else.

Yeah, and from what I understand, a $6000 insurance claim could be anything, like a fender bender or something rather minor. But it could also be something more major.
My father in law came with me when I went to look at the car and came for the test drive. He's the knowledgeable guy when it comes to cars, and he took a real good look at it and said it looks near perfect. Had it going 140km/h and it was smooth as going 20. Real nice ride. So, if thats the case, and it's $4000 cheaper than the original listing price and another $500 on top of that for rims, it feels to me like a good deal.
I'm not sure what I'm more comfortable doing when it comes to rims. I don't mind the stock ones, but I also know I could do better. I just have a hard time understanding what will fit properly and such. I don't want to risk having a tire rub or something that hurts the performance of the car itself.
Dude, just tell them at the dealer that You want the rims to match on the car, and if they dont change it then you arent buying it. They will change it in 2 seconds. Thats what I almost had to do when I almost bought on from Lia Toyota. They had the base model with no rims, and I said "I'll buy the car if you get RIMs on there, not hubcaps." Sure enough, they did it and then I said "I found an LE model for the same price, Peace" so yeah. Just bitch til you get what you want.
