so I am new to this toyota forum and this is my first post. I recently got an 09 corolla LE and was interested in buying a remote keyless entry fob for it. I need to find the correct fcc id for my car to match the remote.
yes, I did use the search feature, searching for "fcc", "fcc id", "fccid", "fcc/id" and found no results. if anyone knows how to find the fcc id for the 09 corolla, please let me know. all help is appreciated.

to Toyota Nation fellow Texan! I just opened up my key fob and it says that the FCC ID is FO4-29T or F04-29T(its too small to read)
P.S where in Texas are you from? If you dont mind me asking, Im from Sugar Land near Houston
Just curious, have you inquired at the dealership? One would think details like that would be in their database.
inquired today, but I think I asked the wrong guy lol. he said he didn't know anything about it. I will have to give them a call tomorrow during business hours. thanks!

thanks! I'm from the Keller/Southlake area. thanks for the id number! I found a key fob on ebay with a different fcc id which I'm assuming would have to be for older corollas then . its pretty cheap so I was hoping it would work.

Im not sure. I dont know if they used those remotes for the tenth gen....but some part of me thinks that on LE's and CE's that have the keyless option might have it...........
and I never heard of Keller Texas...... lol even though my sister lives in the Benbrook area and works in burleson ISD

hmm well I know my mom's 03 sienna remote looks just like that one in the ebay link. the dealership said LE's have the keyless option in it, but the CE doesn't. Keller, is near Hurst, North Richland Hills...Tarrant County pretty much lol.
Factory keyless entry in the 10th gen uses a fob-in-key design. I'm not aware of any fobs from other Toyotas with the same frequency/signal that can be programmed.
Did your car come with power locks and keyless entry? If it came with both, and you previously had fobs like the eBay page, then you'll need to find the FCC ID from someone with non-factory keyless. If it came with locks but not keyless entry you may need to see if your local dealer can get a keyless entry kit for you (which will include remotes).
If your car came with the key-in-fob style keyless entry, chances are you'll need to get a new key, and not just a fob if you want everything to work correctly.

Good luck, hope this helps.

wow, thats a load of info there lol.
yes it came with power locks and when you say 'keyless entry' do you mean the keyless entry 'software' in the car? and I bought the car pre-owned with only 2300 miles on it...and it only came with 2 keys, and no keyless entry remote.

I just purchased a 2009 LE (made in California) which came with two keys and no remote. I assumed that the keyless remote had been lost and was prepared to purchase one from a Toyota dealer.
After a bit of waiting I was told that the car does not have the ability for keyless remote even though it has electonic locks.
I assume that since your car also does not have a remote then it may not be equiped with the computer chip for keyless remote.
if you find out otherwise, let me know. The remote keys cost about $200 and then cost $100 to program.

ah yes I came to find out the same thing after purchasing a key online. My LE did come standard with the keyless system. I got the same quote from my dealership as well ($200 for the key and $100 to program).
I ended up going to my local car toys and paying $125 to have them install the system and get 2 remotes. I got the lock and unlock feature and thats it since the car does not have the horn for the panic feature and no trunk feature.
