so i was parked at a parking lot in Stonestown. i left my car there and then came back and drove it. i hear a rattling noise. i think its no big deal so i continue driving. i then go over a speed bump and hear this horrible screeching noise. i then get out of the car and notice that someone had hit my side skirt and knocked it off (hitting the speed bump may have inflicted more damage). so i snapped it back on and now i am just wondering what i should do. you can still see a crack when you open the door. here are some pictures

You forgot the pictures, but my advice is to get an estimate from a body shop. If its less than your insurance deductable, fix it yourself. If its more, let them take care of it.

Is the damage only on the plastic sideskirt? Shouldnt cost too much to just replace and paint it. Its hard to tell the extent of the damage from your picture, but it may even be repairable.
Try to get a picture in the daytime without the shakeycam action :p

how much do you think a left side side skirt would cost?
Cant find one online, but any dealership should be able to tell you over the phone. I would guess around $200, but you can always pick up cheaper aftermarket ones off ebay. You may like the styling more than OEM.

I used to go to stonestown all the time when I was in high school!
Just hope the insurance will take care of it. Either way, you will have to pay some $$ into (1) insurance deductible or (2) paint/repair. The option 3 is to track the f*cker down and make him/her pay up! Goodluck!
Parking lot for what? If theres a business adjacent, ask if they have security cameras pointed towards the lot. Maybe ask to hang a flyer inside looking for witnesses. Chances are slim that youll find the guy, but its worth a shot.

ouch Im sorry. I messed up part of my left side skirt too, but at least my damage is on the bottom front(I was knocked off the road and when my wheel dropped off the pavement, it scraped) but some how there is evidence of rock chips or something on mine so it looks stupid. I feel you pain and at least you havent experienced this 6 times like my sister. she had that many people hit her door or bumper and leave
i went to stonestown alot as well. if you parked inside the garage, they might have cameras but the spots are so big...they must suck at parking. if you parked outside then you ran out of luck because they dont have any cams outside.
