Question 10th gen Corolla S ISR

I searched on the website for it, but I can't seem to find it! I'm new to this site so maybe you could help me out a little too!

I just simply wanna do an intake silencer removal, but I don't know how and I don't wanna just go and make my car undrivable by my efforts!

So, please anyone, can you either show me the link to the thread that has the instructions or tell me briefly how to delete the intake silencer?

Thanks!

Oh and 1 more question:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=270581626103

^ LEGITIMATE?

the ebay link is legit for making your own custom intake.

Turn your stock intake into CAI/partial ram air, using no aftermarket parts!
^this is the link you wanted.

Do you know where I can get that same part somewhere else cheaper? Like either online or in a local store? Because $60 for that part is kinda expensive just for that piece.

I haven't found anywhere locally, online is your bestbet. If you find somewhere cheaper lmk. I've been wanting to custom a cold air for sometime now.

I well def. let you know. I wanna build a Spectre Intake for my Rolla, just not sure if I wanna dish out $60 for just that piece. There's gotta be something cheaper out there.

Thanks though bro!

doubt building intake isn't much helpful for your car. i tried building one and it threw a CEL on so i took it off. spent like 60 bucks. when that could have went towards a known to work intake made by an actual company lol

Lol actually your probably right. The known intakes don't set of CEL? Because I know the Dragon Intakes are known for it, and the Weapon R has done the same for some other people.

What are some good intakes you think?

im' guessing from what everyone else on this forum and seeing what people have, K&N is your best bet and safest.

someone wanted to know what SRI to get on this forum:: Which SRI Intake To Buy? and most people chose K&N. then Weapon R, fujita, and finally takeda ..

i doub't K&N nor Weapon R sets off CEL from reading other people's experiences. can also go to injen for their CAI's.

i mean it's fine to build our own, it just has risks and buying a quality intake can come with warranty and more confidence that it will work fine .

i actually built a spectre intake. i bought all the spectre parts from kragen. cost about $80 i think. not too sure cause i bought it a while ago. had to do some custom fitting to work with the maf sensor. but it did kinda work. no low end torque at all. but plenty of high end.

Apparently I had to custom fit the maf sensor since there was no adapter for it. I had to by an adaptor and drill a hole to make it fit. But I drilled the hole a little too big. So I got an O-ring to seal it from letting air loose
