2010 Corolla that doesn't have clearcoat?

Ok, so I have a small smudge on my lower side rocker valance on my Corolla S and I decide to take very mild swirl remover (Pinnacle XMT is an all in 1 polish) to buff it out and when I look at my microfiber cloth paint has transferred on the cloth. This means the rocker has no clear and is a signle stage paint? Anyone else notice this?

I detail cars as a hobby and have never had this happen on any car that has clear coat?

i dont recall what other thread it was, but i did note that NUMMI didnt use clear coat on Corolla white, and, some other colors (as explained by the NUMMI website). i dont know about paints from other plants, but i suspect its the same. and even though NUMMI was joint venture with GM i believe the paint system being used was the Toyota paint system as it was superior to GM's.

Any solid color toyota paints (non-metallic, mica, or pearl) supposedly no longer have clear coats.

Metallic, mica, and pearl need the clear coat to protect the additives in the paint.
