She will be in the shop for a week or two, I don't know yet... I hope she will be fine Btw, the throttle body spacer is still coming, and Jim's decal also on the way... ^^ If she stay in the shop for too long, Magnaflow 10436 is the next item on the list that will be order... so yea, I will miss her... can't wait till Monday and see what are those insurance idiot will say...
You know that throttle body spacers don't work, right?
That sucks to see.... hope the repairs go well.
How come? well, I don't care anyway... I want to give it a shot, only $99.98...
and this is what happened... after I get on the Highway, I saw a CRV (2008) is shaking behind me... and I have no freaking clue what he was doing, so I don't really care, and look down (from the rear view mirror) and then all the sudden, "BAMBB"... my gf was screaming, my lil bro was like "wtf" and then... yea... I got hit from the rear passenger side... and his car got f*** up from the front driver side...
I got out of the car, and talk to that old man... and he was Indian, great! I asked him what happen, why he hit me and stuff. He told me he didn't know what happen, he said his car lose control and something wrong with his steering wheel and stuff, and he hit me... I don't know if he actually bs or not, but I did see him shaking around like crazy... and then the cops came, everyone were ok (Me, my gf, my lil bro and him), and he told the cops that he can't control the car, and hit me. And then the cops look around his car, we all look around his car, and he decided to drive that car home after the report and stuff done, geez, I don't understand why the cops let him do that... and then I took off, and go to the mall... and spent so freaking much for the victoria secret semi annual sale... hahhaha...
ouchhh. hope youre alright. but why are so many of us corollas getting damaged
If you look under your rear bumper you will see that there is nothing to protect you from a side hit to the bumper except a thin sheet of plastic bumper material and the pain on top of it. The thin sheet metal is vulnerable to dents.
That's great that everyone is ok! Sad to see your corolla like that. I just got back mine Thursday from the shop and you can't tell I got hit. Hope the insurance drama and repair goes all good!

Thanks, I can't wait... I talked to the insurance lady just now, and everything is already set up. I will drop my car at Service King tomorrow for the repair, but I don't know how long the repair gonna take, so yea... good news and they're fast too...
ok... "Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer" - FAILED .. I recheck it before place an order, lucky me... When the hell we (10 gen) have 1.8L 1ZZFE under the hood? , so yea... I give up... btw, I drop the car off today, and got the new 2010 Ford Focus SE for rental... not really please with american car but, whatever, just rental car anyway... the guy said Its should be done by Friday, or early Monday... so yea...
Good thing you didn't buy the spacer, thing doesn't work for fuel injected engines.
They're more suited to carbs.
You should conduct a thorough *ahem* test drive of the Focus and tell us what you think!
ok, this is what I think... *IMO* aka IN MY OPINION... so don't kill me if you test drive it before or even if your father, mother, grandmother or whoever owning one... but have a different opinion, then sorry... and the one park outside my apartment right now is the 2010 Ford Focus SE, which is... this one
but not, this one... ( I wish )
OK, so...
Exterior - I think its pretty good. The paint job is nice. The side mirror look normal from the picture, but actually pretty big and easy for the rear side view. 15 inch alloy wheels, come with standard, which I like . The trunk is big, but the opening is small, so even its have a lot of room, I don't think you can put a something wider than 15" in there. There are no hood damper, but trunk have 2 small damper, so yea...
Interior - Not really like it, too much cheap plastic feel. The seats feel kind of like our corolla, and it don't have the racing type of seat, but I think its good enough. Sitting in the car feel like not enough spaces (room). The center stack is kind of confusing, because... eh, too much button. The light switch is above the trunk release pull, I don't know why they put it there but yea, giving me hard time to find it. Its had SIRIUS Satellite Radio and also come with standard, so thats a plus. The gauges look like crap, and really plastic feel, look more like my lil brother's toy. But the interior lighting is cool after dark, really cool glow blue, white and red...
Performance and driving impressions - eh, don't really like the pedal, weak when I slightly step on it, but when use a lil bit more gas, I totally slammed my body forward. Smooth ride, I don't really agree with it, But it does have some good power. The MPG actually pretty good, but I think our corolla is a lil bit better. After turn the car off, I don't understand why I still hear some spinning noise (under the car, especially when I open the hood), and Its stop after like 2-3 minutes, and stopped with some *tick* *tick* *tick* noise, I don't understand why, and I don't even know if its normal... so yea... Suspension is fine, feel just like other sedan, and the steering is kind of hard to control, its feel really odd.
I wouldn't buy this car, but if next time I have to pick between this (2010 Ford Focus) or 2010 Chevy Malibu for a rental car, I'll pick this car for sure... the Chevy Malibu is suck, there are something I like about this car, but there are nothing that I like on the Malibu, like... I can't think of a place or part to given them the credit... feel like driving a getto car...
