I've driven the same 2002 Corolla S for the past 9 years. She eats oil, puffs blue smoke. I've put about $4000 into her in repairs in the past few years. Might be time to let her go.
Found a 2009 Certified Pre Owned XRS at the dealership where I bought my 2002 Corolla. Looks sweet, and a sweet deal. I don't know anything about the Corolla XRS. What do you think?
Around 45,000 . 2 previous owners. Ehh I would try to get it for less. You should probably do some more research about the xrs to see if you really like it before deciding to purchase it or not. Good luck.
After checking with Consumer Reports, the MVP price is $1,000 under the normal dealer asking price for a used XRS with the same mileage.
I'm seeing a test drive in the morning!
Oh wow sounds goood!

True. Wonder why Owner 2 only had it for 18 days and only drove it 5 miles? Sounds like a goood deal though. Go check it out!

From what I can gather, the second owner had it registered as a lease vehicle, then it sold at auction. Would be nice if they had more details about it.
My thoughts exactly, why only have the car for 18 days registered as a fleet vehicle?
could have been in an accident but not enough damage to be considered salvaged and the 2nd owner would have bought/fixed it for some pocket cash... I would get a throughout inspection by a technician and see if the car has different paint tones/rough edges and bumps.
Like I said before, it's worth checking out closer. This kind of price is what I would see from a shadetree used car lot, not a Toyota dealer. Certified helps, but yeah, because it had two change of ownerships, ask more questions no doubt.
There has to be something behind it, since it's listed as $1,000 below the invoice price. Well, $13,900 is what consumer reports has it listed as, same model, mileage, options.
Sounds suspicious. I'd ask more questions. First owner put pver 40,000 miles in less than 2 years? This car could have been rented out and/or the first owner was a leasing agent. Dealerships usually get their not too old used cars coming off leases and/or rentals. Also do an Autocheck, if you can to see if everything matches. Sometimes, Carfax can miss things, that Autocheck picks up
