TSB etiquette

I have a cracking noise at the bottom of the windshield/top of the dashboard whenever the weather is cold. Toyota has issued a TSB for a fix to the problem and I'd like to bring my '09 Corolla S into my dealer to get it fixed. Should I let the service techs find the solution on their own? Or should I mention the TSB and show them my copy of the TSB? I don't want to offend the service techs.

Play dumb. When the service writer is writing you up, ask him if it's a common problem. If he say yes then leave it. If he says no and your's is the first complain, then show him the TSB.
That should be quite safe. You did not offend him and you do not want the technician to experiment with your car.

TEchnicians regularly check the TSB database when a customer complains of a problem. Like cabur said, just let your Service Advisor know that you've heard from other Corolla owners that this is a known problem.

I think the one you're referring to has something to do with dash locking pins where it meets the glass. But could also be the windshield retaining clips which can be removed since the windshield adhesive has dried.
