from my brief 5 minute research. it reduces your throw by 30% ... lots of positive feedback from Yaris owners

and it can also (apparently... according to here) be used with a TWM Short Shifter... not sure tho.. need to do some more research

I have one and love it. You won't be disappointed. It is even better when paired with their cage bushings and Shifter mounted short throw, but I drove around for a couple months with just the linkage mounted one with ss bushings, and that by itself was a big improvement and very enjoyable. Hope this helps.

I am wondering how is this kit compare to the TWM short shifter that I have on my S.

Well, it is easier to install, retains the stock shifter height, way less expensive, and probably not as hard to get used to. I went with the NST options because they were less expensive, but I really like the look you get from the TWM. I think the biggest difference is going to be looks, and maintaining the stock shifter height. What I really wanted to do, was pair the SSK to the TWM, but again, $$$$$. BTW Stone I love your Twm with the carbon shift knob.

I like the fact that the stock shifter height is kept. When I was on my trip I always had a large drink in the cup holders & if the shifter was lower it would have been awkward to shift.

thats the main reason why i went with this one and the shorter one doesnt look right with the shifter boot

Well I can tell you the shifter bushings and the cage bushings and ssk1 are awesome. I was the test bed for these items. It took me three days to get used to them being in the rolla. My previous car which was a yaris had all these parts plus ssk2 which helped out a ton its well worth the investment.
