USA "Steering Drift" question

anyone here experience the "steering drift"..after reading the article just now i have experienced it this past weekend. apparently i was driving..decide to make a left turn (slowly at 10-15 mph) and as im turning, my vehicle drifts sliding towards the opposite direction (mind you the roads were dry) once it drifted, vehicle decides to beep and just stands still..

i tried to contact toyota service if he's heard of such things..and endless to say..mofo decides to laugh n say he's never heard of it

i'm sure no1 has experienced this..but if you have i need feedback..i've only had this car for 5 months n this has been the only issue

Funny that they have never heard of it considering there is a TSB fix for the issue.

New "Retuned Power Steering Computer Assembly" available

Sounds like you did experience a slight drift....or a understeer condition
The rear of this car will step out on you if you make an aburpt turn....When then happened....the traction control kicked on and stopped the sliding from happening any further.

This is all normal

Even-though the pavement may appear to be dry (moisture wise) there could be other contaminants (oil, coolant, sand, etc.......) that could cause a lose of traction (hence the VSC intervention). The TSB is for wandering (the constant need to correct the steering as if you're in a crosswind). The same can happen with the ABS under braking even-though the road surface may appear dry.
