Custom Trunk Set-Up finally Finished!

Okay I finally got the funds to finish off my Sound Set-Up. I added the Alpine MRP-M500 Amp (500w) and the Alpine Type-R 12" sub. I relocated my first amp to the trunk and had CustomSounds make a custom box to display the Sub, and both amps. I know some of you are going to think it took up to much space! (exactly what i thought) But it needed a certain amount of air space for the sub to make it sound its best. Also I rarely use my trunk and I can still access my spare tire!

I really love what they did with it! Here are the pics!

Alpine Type-R 12" Sub

What powers it?

The Set-Up!

Day Shot:

Here is a night shot, but it doesn't do justice on how the lights look at nice. Later on I am gonna change the light to a LED

They had to custom cut the top of the panel so the trunk can still close

Added a bit of color to the engine bay!

I'll get a better shot so you can see the back of the car w/ the trunk open, so you can get a full idea of how it looks.

Planning on getting a bass knob installed or should I replace the OEM h/u?
Opinions? Thoughts?

You'll get better sound quality and adjustability with a quality after market head unit. Ive got THIS one and like it alot. Mine is actually the previous model (KDC-X993), but I dont think there is much difference. I know mine has the ability to change the color of the backlight, and ive made it to match the stock orange dash lights perfectly. I can put up pictures if needed. This headunit has built in subwoofer controls, and also 4v preamp outputs so you'll be giving your amps a cleaner, stronger signal.

Awesome! That would be nice if you would post pics please! Does the dash kit make it look oem? I think if I changed the h/u I would get a double din.

yeah, ill try and get pics later tonight so you can see the lighting better. As for the dash kit, its not perfect, but its accepatble. The finish is a bit smoother, which makes it appear darker.

Actually I just covered up the hoses and wiring with "Flame Retardant Wire Conduit"

I got the idea from TheGreenKnight!

I bought it for $5 for 10ft of it.

I too as well clean my engine bay every time I give the car a good wash! All I do is just use Armor All and some Paper Towels. I think the Armor All product I use is the interior shine? I think its things for like the dash and such.
