Toyota-Astra Motor introduced the Corolla which facelift now comes with a new name Grand New Corolla Altis because of the large changes that occur. This launch also spelled out in Europe faster because only a few weeks ago.
The biggest changes occurred in the sector that is driving the engine and transmission. Toyota Corolla Altis now apply the dual VVT-i technology on the 1.8-liter engine (2ZR-FE) complement the existing similar technology in the 2.0 liter engine (3ZR-FE). Dual VVT-i set the valve opening and inhaust exhaust are computerized.

Whereas in the present transmission system using Super CVT-i with a seven-speed Sequential Sport Shift. This transmission offers refinement, silently and contribute to improving fuel efficiency. Equipped with Sequential Shift, so the driver can still play the transmission lever to pursue the pleasure of driving. Another option, new gearbox 6 MT.

Combination of these two new technologies that help increase fuel efficiency up to 7% plus extra comfort. Other additional devices in the car is equipped with Toyota’s new entertainment Navigation

In terms of exterior changes visible on the front bumper, headlights, rear combination lamps, alloy wheels, rear bumper, new design optitron meter, 3 spokes steering wheel, driving eco indicator and other changes.

Grand New Corolla Altis 2.0V so worth USD 380 million. 8.1 Type G to be USD 349.7 million and the new type E 08.01 USD 328 million.

I like the look of the new ground effects and reshaped headlights. It's sportier in my opinion, but it makes it look even more show no go to me.

I actually like the Grille alot! Looks real clean and flows well with the Sport look to it. I sorta like the chrome accent on the foglight housing, then again its fine as is the way we have it.

I dislike the tail lights n:

I know some of may like the new style of the reflectors in the rear. But I actually have grew on to the circular shape of our reflectors!

Its nice now that they offer a 6 MT! and I'm assuming they will now use the 3ZR-FE?

Opinions?Thoughts?Comments?

Very nice design in the front end of the car...not a big fan of the rear spoiler....but who cares...I want the 6 speed manual gearbox. I wonder will the north american market get the same upgrade, and what will the S and XRS trim look like?

Perhaps Toyota will bring the 3ZRFE to the States in the XRS instead of the 2ARFE?

No they they are putting the new 2.5L I4 dual vvt-i that is in the camry and the 2011 Corolla will not look like that(from an article) but I wish it would except for the tail lights and it really does look like a mini camry SE

The new Scion Tc 2011 also have the 2.5 lt, not I4, but the 2ARFE, making 180 hp (130 kW), 173 lb·ft (235 N·m)... Now thats interesting ^^... They also start building that 2.5 and another 2.7 AR engine at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama, mid 2011... I wonder where is that 2.7 AR engine go and what are the spec?

Small changes but it looks very much the same to me. The body kit looks okay. I don't care for any of the chrome on the trunk lid & around the fog lights. I like the new wheels & the 6 speed MT is awesome. I want one of those! I've thought that our S/XRS models have always looked like a smaller Camry SE too.

i think it needs a better front lip and that the rear skirt should look more like the camry se. it looks very busy and i hate the chrome, it does look lower then our stock corollas to. i cant wait for some nice body kits to come out for the rear.
