AUX Cable issue

alright this question for all those who DON'Thave their systems upgraded to an aftermarket sound system...

has anyone experienced an issue on the aux port (ipod connected) heres my situation: when a song is playing and randomly it would change from aux to mp3 and then the sound of the song would be choppy.. like one side of the speakers works and the other doesn't

i've had previous experience where that would happen but had changed my ipod cable and it would be fine no issue..but on my corolla i replaced the aux cable and it continues to do that to the point where i believe it is faulty..

i read on previous forms that it could be a faulty aux port and it is to be covered under warranty? anyone happen to do a claim on this..as i'm about to

should i tell them to replace my sound system..i got the feeling it would make it worse since half the time these toyota techs got no idea what they are doing lol

what you think?

never had that happen before but it seems like theres either a problem with the aux port (maybe lose or something because the deck couldnt distinguish if there was a cable in the aux port)...if so then it should b covered under warranty...if it happens often enough it wont be a bad thing to try to replicate it to the dealer

I had problems for a bit in mine. Then I bought the griffin cable and it cleared up. In your case, it does sound more complex. I would take it to the dealer and see what they have to say at least before moving forward. Since it's def still under warranty, I wouldn't hesitate in the possibility of replacing it through the dealer.

I havent had any issues with mine and mine is in all day everyday except when cleaning. Most of the time I only listen to my mp3 player....I have a belkin aux cable that is as old as the car(1 1/2 years) and is still working great

I would just take it to the dealer

I don't know what your talking about that toyota techs don't know they are doing, I have techs that can rebuild vvt-I gear faster than it takes a lot of people to do brakes.

btw i made a joke didnt know you took offensive of that..have you been to a toyota service center lately? how many men does it take to do an oil change on a corolla?

ive seen people wait 3 hours for a 10 min oil change job while the tech plays bullshyt in the baq room

luckily the dealer i get my car serviced at the actual client has access to see what these techs are doing and i must tell you 99% of the time they are lazy..they get the work done yes..but really it takes them that long..any dealer period..

i saw this one guy waiting and he couldnt take it and started an argument bc the techs werent doing shit..what was their excuse "oh my manager has not given me the ok to work on the car, after dude was waiting for an hour"

any whos, in regards to the update on my aux..i got an appointment friday morning to probably hear these words "we couldn't replicate the issue, please continue to observe"..

Yeah i got the same thing without the holster.. Best $40 ever spent.. even comes with a IR remote... What i dont like is when I turn the car off and leave it in acc mode the ipod wont shut off by itself and dies by the next day. But if I turn the car off completly then it will turn off because its in pause mode(ipods left in pause mode auto turn off after a few minutes).
