Alright... I know that there are several 1.8L Corolla owners besides me that are eager to see TRD come out with a supercharger for the 2ZR-FE engine. I am taking it upon myself to contact, engage, write, email, call, bug, annoy, frustrate, and piss-off whomever I have to to get this done for us. When I set my mind on something, I usually get it done. This will be my update thread for the progression about making this happen for us all.

Dear Tech Support,
Hello, My name is Brock McClure and I am looking for some information on the TRD Supercharger. Currently there is no TRD supercharger for the 2009+ (tenth generation) Toyota Corolla. There is a desperate cry coming from your very loyal Toyota fanatics for a TRD supercharger for the 2009+ 2ZR-FE 1.8L CE, LE, S, and XLE models.
I am certain that the time and effort TRD would go through to design and manufacture this supercharger would not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. Please respond, and let me know if this is a possibility as I have a ton of fellow corolla owners that would love to purchase and utilize one.
Sincere Regards,
Brock McClure

Since TRD is another business unit of Toyota, I would think their budget is "limited", and like it has been said, previous offerings for SCs were not profitable for them to make. I doubt that has even changed.
^problem is, a lot would say they would buy it, very few would. That will be a major hurdle. I would say that one would be better off trying to get a shop to build a turbo kit for it. If anyone in the Phoenix area wanted to do it, Forced Air Technologies would probably tackle the job. Patrick is a madman with forced induction. Check out their site at www.forcedairtechnologies.com

This is a great write up, really serious but somehow sound funny and a lil too much, IMO. Especially "desperate cry", I did LOL for a minute and good luck buddy, a lot of people will support you here!!!

If that's the case, then we need to try and organize a limited one-time production run with TRD USA a year or so down the line. Then, they'd know that they'd sell the unit's they've made, they can always make just a few more for customers that don't visit Toyota/Corolla forums, and they can also export the design to the 1.8l Yaris, Scion xD, and also other 2ZR models sold elsewhere in the world.
All I have to say is that if I saw this come across my desk at TRD, I'd think about it greatly.

I think toyota is sharing TRD funds with F-Sport from Lexus right now... lmao ^^! I mean, starting with IS-F and then LF-A, now IS C have F-Sport package, IS 200d (UK), IS 250, IS 350, LS 460, even GS 350 already have F-Sport equipment...

Being way too optimistic...this is TRD we're talking about.
You're better off asking a smaller aftermarket company, but with an economy like this, few would even want to invest money making parts for a car like the Corolla when parts for other cars like Hondas and Mustangs, etc. are easier to sell.

There is more of a market right now for Lexus stuff, and the profit margins are better to justify putting the money into them. The target demographic of a Lexus owner (IS and GS, not ES and LS, etc.) is WILLING to spend the money, and I'll bet there are more of them than Corolla owners who will spend money on aftermarket stuff.

+1
TRD USA is a joke.

Exactly.
It's a market where they are likely to lose money or barely recover the R&D expenses they spent on designing and manufacturing the parts. Judging by historical trends, the 9th gen Corolla had a TRD supercharger available and not enough of those sold on the market and TRD eventually pulled the plug on that project since there wasn't enough demand or interest from buyers.
Corolla owners are inherently too cheap and not willing to shell out the big bucks it takes for serious engine modifications. Can't really blame TRD for not investing in the Corolla's aftermarket anymore. That's the brutal honest truth.

I don't think that its that they are cheap so much as they are either not into cars, only bought the Corolla as a commuter, or cannot afford the extra price tag for a performance car. There are always exceptions, obviously.
I, personally, would never spend that kind of money on performance for a Corolla. I have had 11 second rwd monsters, 12 second awd monsters, and still have a v8 swapped Blazer. I bought this car to daily drive in comfort, and cut down on the high maintenance cost on daily driving those type of vehicles. The cost per hp is way out of line for the car, and that is too be expected as power was not its intended purpose.
