Hi, my name is Alex and I own a 06' Corolla, a 10' Corolla, and a 91' MR-2 Turbo. Yesterday, while driving my 10' Corolla I scraped the bottom of my front bumper while driving through a parking lot dip. I heard some noise but it wasn't heart jumping. After checking my front bumper I see quite a lot of scratches. I notice the bumper bottom has two points instead of one. This creates more potential for contact. You'll have two sides to fix. What are your thoughts and have you guys ever scraped? haha

Im assuming u got an S....yeah i scrapped...depending on how bad it is, u might b able to fix it using rubbing and polish compound to get the majority of the scratches out...if that doesnt work to ur standards u can wet sand it and respray clear on it or take it off and repaint (thats what i did)
btw...welcome to TN

Most likely the scratch is really deep and you wont be able to polish it out. I tried that and it didn't really work for me. I mean you can just leave it if it doesn't bother you that much. Otherwise you can get it repainted if you want but most likely you will scrape again in the future. I hate how the corolla isn't even that low but those parking cement block are annoying. I never expected it to scrape since it sits high but i guess one day i guess i went too far. But now i always make sure i stay at least 3 inches away from it.

The Wife scraped ours on one of those parking cement blocks. Luckily it was on the underside so you really can't see it all that much...
It's doubtful you'll even see those scratches...otherwise the left and right sides would be ripped off completely.
You won't even see the scratches unless you go eye level with the headlights. I scraped quite a bit on my S, I just used the touch up paint the dealer offered. You can tell its been scraped quite a bit and been touched up, but from far away you can't even tell.

x3....i almost couldnt eat for 2 days when i got the first scratch.....now 2 1/2 years later im used to finding a new scratch every time i see my car in daylight
in fact just yesterday i scuffed up my front end below the left headlight....polished then waxed the thing this morning and off it goes
x4 We got ours door dinged the first week we had it. I about puked. It's still there and every time I look at it I feel sick. I took it to get an estimate on fixing. 100 dollars minimum. My wife says let's wait until there are more "dings"..besides, she says, no one can hardly notice it.
We took it in for maintenance recently and our salesman comes out to say Hello, and that is the first thing he notices. HA!

I did the same thing about a week after I bought my car. I thought I was going to throw up when it happened . You really can't see the scrapes on my car.
I never understood why people go over the damn cement things when they park? I've been dropped on Tein S techs for like 6 months now and even before i never went over the cement blocks. I Always park like 2 inches away from it and there is plenty of room in the back. Do people not think the car is going to fit in the parking so they go over the cement blocks? I understand if you have a truck but not on a car.

I always park a couple of inches away from it too, but this one time I was on my cell phone not paying attention, when I scraped my car.....

It's just the first of many to come.
Sad, but a very true statement.
