I was wondering what happened to you.

back Eric. The plastic cover pieces just snap off just like the pieces around the stereo. There were some threads about putting LED's in connecting to the power wires in that area. You may be able to do a search & find that info there for taking off the trim. There were also some people putting shift boots on the auto & I believe it was discussed there too.
