I decided, after reading this thread :Non Stop Tuning short throw kit
To make my shifting better in my xrs so I ordered from Non stop tuning
short shift kits, along with their metal bushings (oh the joy of making it feel less cable! I still miss my crx)
yes they don't have the short shift kits for our 2.4L xrs so I ordered the tC one. with that I also ordered TRD quick shift. Since i read a few members saying they had to go through their intake.
this must reduce my throws by 60%.
I promise to update
just playing the waiting game now.
search again, find my twm short shifter thread, read it and report back.
do you still have trd quickshifter ? pm me if you do!
I want to see how it works with a short shift kit thats a base instead of twm short throw rod. if you know what I mean kniterider?
i gave the trd short shift kit away for free to someone here on TN a while back, cant remember who.
i know what you mean, you wanna combine the two.
what i wanna do is see if i can use the NST kit with the twm one. its just that one small piece that goes at the bottom of the stick, i really wanna see if that fits the twm stick and what kind of difference it makes.
Hey Pengin978....I think you should go with the TWM, since it will be a direct fit, me and knitrider09 both have it on our car, we love how it feels. I read some of the other thread about you are thinking about an intake too, right? If u have extra cash, I will for sure pick up a pivot throttle controller too. If you don't have enough, I will pick up the Pivot first over the intake.

I have a injen CAI,
another member recommend to a new member that if the new member has an auto or manual
if the new member has an auto, they should go with a injen cai, as its better for it car
if its manual then get a afe stage 2 intake..
I don't know how it really work out but he has tried and it has been better for him.
I really do want a pivot throttle controller ever since suparchargemr2 got it for his S......I might get it in a week or so since i already bought the NST short shift kit, and the twm short throw...
I just want a 2.5" extender =(
edit: the twm short throw shifter is a long rod after the round shape ball. Adding the NST short shift kit will make the rod longer, its basicly adding an extension to the twm rod.
I might as well increase the height of the cage while I'm taking apart my shifter so it will fit both the TWM + NST

if you already bought the injen cai just stick with it, use it and see how you feel driving it, if you are happy with it then
the twm shifter rod is shorter than stock, probably if you add the NST piece at the bottom it might be back to stock height.
