Well sometime in the next week or so I should be hitting the 65,000 mile mark on my 09 Corolla that was purchased in May of 08.
Here is what has been replaced:
Tires (to acccomodate the 17" RPF1s)
Radiator (Deer Accident)
Air Filter (paper at 25k, TRD at 40k)
Maintenance:
13 oil changes
16 tires rotations
I am still on my original brakes and see them lasting a good 10,000 more or so. MY biggest concern, however, is the auto transmission. I think I will drain and refill this weekend, but it is not reccomended in the manual. Any reason not to do this? (other than time and $ spent)
Any other maintenance I should be looking into? I have a set of eibach springs sitting in the garage, but I want to replace the shocks at the same time.
I am not too far behind you & I too have seen very limited brake wear. I am still on the factory paper air filter as we have very little dust here. I am on just my second set of tires, and have done about as many oil changes myself. No deer for me so far...(fingers crossed)
I am going to look at my PCV soon and probably replace that, and look at my coolant too, maybe get it analyzed.
From the research I have done, I feel comfortable at a drain/refill ATF at ~25K mile intervals for mostly highway travel. If I lived in the city, I do it more often. Its only roughly 1/2 the sump per drain/refill, so its pretty inexpensive preventative maintenance. Plus its easier to to than an oil change and its takes less than 5 mins to do.
As the reason why they don't suggest ATF changes...only the Toyota bean counters know....

Seems like a good idea, I think Canadian dealerships do it at 96000 km
Simply amazing. I just passed the 20k mile mark purchased in November 2008.

I Purchased mine In April, and I have already put 13,000 Miles on it, Thats the problem with living in Florida everything is So damned far away =S
I use it for work aswell as personal, But now i'm thinking of buying a secondary car for work. I'm a camera man, So I'm thinking maybe a Scion XB? I wanna keep it Japanese and Small Motored but I also need just as much, if not more Room than the Corolla.
40032 miles purchased 1/27/2009. accelerator and brake recall work done. only money put in has been for 5K oil changes/tire rotations, $100 for body side molding, $50 for lip, $150 for 35% tint all around. great car that gets better as it is breaking in.
Almost 25k , Purchased it Aug of last year. I realize i drive a lot now that i look at it . So far just oil change and tire rotation maintenance wise .All work done at the dealer .
