Not accelerating properly

I was driving in traffic the other day, it was stop and go. I went to hit the gas pedal and it wouldn't go, the car just stalled at 40 and wouldn't go any faster, i kept hitting the gas and it wouldn't move. I had to pull over and shut it off and turn it back on. The check light came on. I drive an 09 corolla. Does this have anything to do with the recalls happening lately?

Toyota checked it, and said they couldn't find anything, but insisted that i took it in and kept it there for a day. I took it somewhere else and they found this code, P0121 TPS/Pedal Position/ Sensor A CKT Range/Performance, Pedal Position Sensor. I looked it up and it said something about how the wires aren't connecting to the pedal correctly. Is toyota responsible for fixing this?

I had the same concern today from a guy, connected techstream to the car and found a slu of codes. Yours was one of them I'm sure.
Turns out, someone was near the ECM and flipped up the the gray part of the ecm connector. That will lift the connector out of the ecm giving only a partial connection.

So does that mean i don't need to have them check it out again? So it has nothing to do with the recalls?

It has nothing to do with the recalls unless someone fudged up your pedal in the pedal mod.
I Highly doubt that because the problem would be constant.
Just lift the hood and check yourself about what I said. If it's acting fine, then let it be.

why would you change the wiring harness on an 09 Corolla for faults that specify location?
