Knocking sound while braking?

Happens a lot when I brake, there's a knocking sound coming in the front. Any one experience this before?

Nope. That's not common at all.
Is there anything under the hood loose (like the prop-rod?).
Does it happen during hard and/or soft braking? Is there vibration too?
How many miles are on the pads & rotors? When was the last time the brakes were serviced?

To answer your question the "knocking sound" is your brakes yes..there is a TSB (not sure of number) but there is a TSB for it..apparently the 2010 corolla's are experiencing early brake wear on 09-10 models..source..google..

i heard a knocking noise and vibration when i applied my brakes..had taken the car to a dealer..told me my car had early brake wear..got my brakes upgraded and changed free of charge and my rotors were changed

get it checked out when you get a chance
