if i went over 8,000km by a few hundred kms between oil changes, does that void my warranty? i think the most i ever went over was 350 km
they cant legally void your warranty unless it was the caused problem. I think everyone has gone over their oil change interval at least once in their lives...relax. My moms 4runner now is over like 300 miles because we had to go to Ft. Worth and couldnt get a change until later
Careful with that statement. Yes synthetic can last longer. However Toyota can void your engine warranty if it blows up and you didn't abide by the warranty recommendations.
Use of either synthetic or dino oil your choice, BUT go by the TOYOTA maintenance schedule. 6months or 5000 miles/8000 kilometres.(whichever comes sooner)
Keep your receipts with mileage, dates, maintenance performed. Not only does this cover you in the event of an issue. It can only help when you resell. It will show a buyer you have cared for your vehicle.

The only reason i am concerned is because i am nearing the end of my factory warranty, and am debating on purchasing the extended warranty to 6 years/200,000km.
So if my engine blows, it will not be covered? Is that the only thing that wont be covered or is there other things as well? I just want to know all the facts before i go in and give another 2 grand to toyota... lol

I too have the extended warranty but they gave it to me for free because other dealers have given us so much trouble. Remember the extended warranty is just like the standard 3yr. 36k miles (idk how many kl that is) and will cover everything (bumper to bumper) but of course if the lack of oil changes and any neglect of important maintenance does in fact destroy any part of the drivetrain then yes the warranty will be void for that part alone. The rest of the car will still be warrantied(correct me if Im wrong guys) just not the engine or whatever got messed up due to whatever the owner did. I hope this helps.... ask any questions we will gladly answer

10,000km on Full Synthetic on every car I have owned...
My 323GTX ran well into the 300K and going strong before it got totaled.
I obviously go by the 6 month rule as well. But I drive 30,000 in a year, so I hit 10,000 before I hit 6 Months.
Toyota can try to argue it all they want. But my dealer has zero issues with that since I invest and use Full Synth
