After several trips to the Dealer regarding 2700-2900rpm vibration on the floor, they have decided to replace my tranny. Test with the tech today on a new 2010 corolla and he felt the same vibration. Don' know whats going on with Toyota. Have the released a TSB on this??
I've noticed a vibration in my car lately too. I only notice it if i have my hand resting on the passenger seat and it happens right when the car is almost to a stop. I wonder what it could be

2010 auto S w/13,800 miles.
A vibration felt in the seat is usually from a rear wheel balance issue.
I've noticed no vibration issues with my 09 S 5-speed.

Sometimes my manual S RPMS will drop at idle for just a moment and the car will slightly vibrate. Ive heard this from others though. IT idles around 900 and drops to maybe 600 and vibrates a slight bit

Very normal for most cars, just the electronics adjusting to various conditions.

Mines has developed an idle vibration as well. Its definitely noticable.
S with 57xxx kms. Due for a service soon, will bring it up again. I brought it up last time, and the dismissed it as "normal" while fixing the obvious starter problem.

Exactly. If you have power windows, youll notice the idle drop when you hit the switch. no big deal there.

Agreed.... seems to be more apparent on 4 Cyl vehicles. I have seen similar behaviors with the Acura, Honda and Saturn that we owned. Dont think I ever experienced it with my trucks though.

Do you have an automatic or manual? I have a 2010 Corolla S w/ automatic and while sitting at a light in drive...there is quite a bit of vibration from the low idle. If the headlights or any other heavy load item are on the idle will raise up to around 800RPM's and things smooth out. But during the day when there are no major electrical items on the idle is around 600RPM and this causes a very annoying vibration issue.
I took it to the dealer and they said they could not reproduce the issue even though they had it inside the shop with the headlights on...so of course the idle was smooth.
When I take it back for my next oil change I'll go for a ride with the tech and show them.
I dont have any vibrations as I drive. even under "hard" acceleration like onto a freeway or something or on normal streets.
I sometimes get a small vibration as I idle with the A/C on but thats just the normal fluctuation from the compressor and whatnot. But yes its a little off topic but when Im starting the car I do have a "knocking" noise but I always thought thats how it was suppose to start in the morning. but it might be a combination of the stock muffler "noise" and whatever is going on under the hood....might try to make a video later
Well lucky they replaced it for me, cause recently the tranny wasn't so smooth. When I accelerate and let go, it jerks a little but not all the time. So lets hope the vibration is gone!!
