Hey guys. I just picked up my new 2010 s tonight. Didn't get to play much with it yet but I do have two questions. I searched google and found one or two ideas but none worked. Plus I'm not sure where I should post this. Anyways how do I disable the autolock features? I hate it when the doors lock automatically when I start to drive. Next is how to disable the seatbelt chime? I tried one tutorial I found with no luck. I was able to disable both of these on my 2010 Tacoma but I'm not having luck on my corolla. Thanks in advance.

Disable auto locks - check your owner's manual or I know it has been posted here - do a search for it - I don't remember how anymore, but it was easy.
I had similar questions about my 2010 Camry SE. Without the Nav System, only the dealer can make these kinds of changes. They plug a computer into the data port, and a specialized program provides access to all kinds of "set-up" options.
With the Nav system, the owner can change some of these features through the touch screen - but, as I was told, not all of the dealer setup options are available to the user.
1. Sit in side your car with all the doors closed, keys not in the ignition with Transmission in Park
2. Lock all doors
3. Put one finger on top of the "lock" switch
4. put the key into the ignition and turn to "ON"
5. As you turn to "ON", quickly press and hold down lock for 5 (five) seconds - (let go when the seat belt chim stops)
there you go ... it will not auto lock when putting transmission out of park or unlock putting it back into park

Sweet I'll have to try it. Actually drove the car today and I didn't mind the autolock after all. I didn't realize all the doors opened once in park. My girlfriends vw auto locks and only the drivers side unlocks after it's in park. That I found was always a PITA.

From Factory it should lock once the car is out of park.. Most people here change it so it lock after 20km/hr.. Then unlocks when you put back in park. Like every1 said its in your user manual.
The Seabelt chime you must get changed @ the dealership.. Ive heard from some users they get denied this but then they show the shop its says so in the manual soo its kinda hit or miss.
I personally wouldnt disable the autolock....maybe change them to where they lock after hitting a certain speed. I did disable the autounlock when you put the car in P because of safety. I really am uncomfortable with the car unlocked as I drive a lot at night even though my area is "high class" you never know! My friend was attacked so that freaked me out quite a bit
