yeah, about the only way you can do it (in most American cars but not sure if it's possible for imports) is to purchase a smaller torque converter. Not very cheap unless it's a small block chevy. Sounds like you need a 5-speed. But if you want to check, first see if you can determine the diameter of your stock torque converter. Once you figure this out, then it will be easier to determine a smaller size for whatever desired stall speed you want.
For example:
The average stock torque converter in Ford V-8's is about 1200-1500 rpm. To increase this stall speed to around 2,000 rpm it would take one inch smaller. To go even higher in the speeds, it would take smaller and smaller. 10 inches is about as small as I've ever seen a V-8 run on the street. Anything less than 10 inches has too high of stall speed. They make them to stall all the way up to 5,000 rpm and more!
But I really don't believe (I'm not positive) they make smaller torque converters for Toyota. They can't get much smaller. The torque converter is about the only thing on the planet where "smaller is better". LOL!
