TWM Performance short shifter installed on my Corolla S

Hey Guys
Today is the "big day", i'm going to see TWM and they will install their short shifter, and replace all of the bushings with machined parts.

I hope i stop missing 3rd gear now! And i'm curious to feel the different with the new bushings!

I'll post pics and my review later. There are already plenty of videos so i won't make another one.

OEM: The shifter throws are long, and rubberish.
TWM: review to follow...

Get a shift knob from them too!!

After getting the short shifter I found the throw was small but it took a bit more effort to change gears. With their heavy knobs the effort is gone i can just gently tap the knob and it goes into place.

Yeah, it's not bad but noticeable and the shift knob fixes it.

So the bushings have all be installed, it took about an hour, i had the 2 great guys at TWM install it for me, as me and my 6month old son watched.

I bought the short shifter shaft, but it's not installed, i wanted to feel the difference with just the bushings, and i must admit, it is really night and day.

Gear shifts are smooth, precise, and direct. Reverse used to give me trouble, now it glides in! I went driving for an hour, shifting often, and i love the new feeling. I can't wait to install the shorter shifter soon!!

This is the shifter i got

These are the bushings they installed,

I got both the base and cable bushings - http://www.twmperformance.com/bushingkits/index.htm

They are totally worth it!

I did the same thing, did the bushings first and then the short shifter a week later. I used to have some issues with second gear and the bushings fixed that and the gears slide right in!

Do they replace something under the hood? I thought it was all done at the shift knob shaft.

I asked to change the bushings, as TWM sells a kit.

The last picture is the 2 cable ends under the hood, the rubber bushings were replaced with bronze oil bushings, and also all of the bushings in the cabin for the shift shaft.

The ones that go on the shift cables under the hood are not bearings...just metal bushings.
