Total new guy here, I posted bit of my background in the introduce yourself section, but figure I would get better opinions here. I am looking for some opinions on which color Corolla S to go with since i'm done with my heap of a 2008 Mazda 6 (great handling car, terrible problems). I have a deposit on a 2010 Black S 5spd manual. However, the dealer has a blue streak one available as well. I must say going home, I've been thinking more and more of the blue streak one. What does everyone think what would be the better looking S for a 28 year old guy? I have till Friday to change my mind and i'm really stumped. I look forward to your responses and being a new member in the forums.-Eric
We bought a black Corolla S and cleaning it is not that bad. I also think it looks better than the blue. For the S model, I would go with either black, grey or silver. All of those colors look good in my opinion with the S body styling.

Have you ever had a black car before? They can be a bitch to keep clean. I say go for the blue.

Black looks nice when it's clean but it's hard to keep clean & it shows swirl marks easily. The Blue was my second choice but I love my Classic Silver Metallic. If those are your choices than I would get the blue. Also a good choice on the 5-speed manual.
And also..... to TN!

I think black color makes the S/XRS look more aggressive, especially if you plan to do some mods later
I love my black S even more especially after doing major mods such as changing rims and lowering it, etc.
You can check out pics of different colors in this forum to help you make your decision. Focus more on black and blue ones of course.
Black (and all other dark colors such as metallic gray) is a bit more difficult to keep clean but to me it's worth it!
I owned a black MR2 before.......it was the first & last black car that I will ever own.

Maybe everyone needs to live the nightmare of owning a black car & trying to keep it clean. I was only 26 when I bought my black MR2.......and 27 when I realized it would be my last black car.
But bottom line is, get the one that you want because you have to wash it.

That's right. Nightmares too when everyone vacuum cleans his own room or house regularly in his lifetime
It's undeniable that lighter colors cars can hide dirt very well but you still have to clean it and do some detailing once a while. With darker car, the hassle is that it's more frequent. If you can live with that than consider going for it. If you can't, consider staying away from it. Notice here that whether it needs more cleaning or not shouldn't be a sole factor of determination.
I say blue, it's unique and shows off what curves the 2010's have well. Truthfully, I've always been kinda' envious of the Blue Streak Metallic owners... it makes my silver seem somewhat bland imo. XD
