shortest short throw for our car

I've combined the NST ssk with TWM short throw rod.

I just added TRD Quick Shift, in total, I got 3 parts to make my shifts as short as possible.

twmperformance.com
toyotapartsales.com

big thanks to knightrider, for all his suggestion. The shift are very very short. I would recommend it only to people who really really want their shift short as possible.

up next for me is springs.
Q: I bought 9thgen Hotchkis progressive springs.

since our 10thgen are heavier than the 9thgen (600lbs apox.)
will I lose both comfort and their nature abilities corning hard? instead, getting rough harsh ride?

I have never have it alone. That was the last thing I put in the car, but the shift felt precise. I recommend TRD with TWM short throw. or NST short shift kit.

it all depends on how short you want it. I really wanted the throws to be short as possible, but TWM 2.5 height reduction made it hard to shift. Since the TRD : 35%, NST 35%, and the TWM 40%.

anyone who wants to do this set up I recommend adding a shifter extension 2.5" to make it back to stock height to have an easier shift.

for Now I'm rolling with OEM rod with TRD quick shift and NST short throw shift.

Hmmm I'm understanding part of what your saying, but I don't understand the "TRD Quick shift and NST short throw shift"?

Whats the difference?

sorry, its not NST Short throw shift its "short shift kit"
The TRD quick shift is what toyota offers as a short throw shifter. There is no shaft modification at all, You would install the quickshifter where the transmission goes under the air intake box. Its a 40% reduction of the throw

Nonstoptunning short shift kit is made for people who wanted a cheap route because it cost around 75 dollars. It's basically an extension to your OEM shaft, Thus reducing the throws by 35-40%. If you go with this mod, You will have to disassemble the OEM stick shift cage to take out the shaft and install it.

to sum it up:
TRD - has to be install through the engine bay cost more
NST - Same procedure as any other shaft related short throw ( b&m, TWM,etc ) you keep OEM height of the shaft will gaining 35-40% reduction throws.

Oooh ok I see... so let me get this straight so I know I have it right lol.

You have the TRD SS to have shorter shifts but your using the NST to keep OEM height?

Pretty much OEM height and short throws between shifting?

I am very bad at explaining, I'm sorry man.
the trd qs keeps stock height, if you're going to go with TRD, nothing is change inside. TRD will be installed at the cables inside the engine bay, again not touching anything inside the car. the throws are now reduced 35%.

PLUS!

I added NST SS along WITH TRD to even more throw reduced. which is an extension like this:

the NST SS is that silver piece on this shaft.
this is what you use to shift into gears so it will be inside the car
since I'm using OEM shaft now it will look like this :

I hope this helps =(
